Annual Reviews

- Conduct your search.
- Check boxes of titles you want; then use the "For checked reviews" dropdown to select "Download citation"
- OR click on the title of an article to access the full record and click Download in citation bar above abstract.
- In the Citation manager or file format field, click the EndNote option.
- Make sure that the Enable quick import into citation manager box is checked.
- Now click the button that says Download chapter metadata.
- Choose Open with EndNote.... and click Okay
- Citations will appear in your EN library.

In Firefox:
- In database, select desired article. Only single articles can be imported into EndNote at a time.
- Below the abstractr, click HTML Version and More Information. Your article will open in a new window.
- In the right column, click Export Citation for This Article.
- Select EndNote as the Format, Citation (or Citation and Abstract) as the Export Type.
- Click Submit.
- Select Open with EndNote.
- Click OK and the citations will appear in your EN library.
ArtStor

- In ArtStor, double click on thumbnail of image. Save to desktop using diskette icon. You will need to register to do this but it is a free account. You will probably want to change the download location and rename the file.
- Open EndNote and under References select new reference.
- Choose Artwork as a reference type.
- You will need to fill in all the information.
- Click on blue push pin button to attach figure.
- After figure is inserted, give it a name in the Caption field. This will be how it is labelled when you import it to a word document.
- In Word, Click on the Insert Citation dropdown, and use the Find Figures button on Endnote toolbar to import.
- Search for image by typing in the find field and hit insert.

- In BAS, for the citations you wish to import click on small box to the left of the item's record
- At top of page, click on Selected to access saved items
- Click on Export with RIS and open with EndNote

Note: Before searching the database, open your Endnote Library.
In Firefox:
- In database, check desired references by clicking Save next to each selection.
- In the menu bar at the top of the page, click Saved Results.
- Under Action, check Export to Endnote.
- Click Go.
- Choose open with Endnote and click on Okay.
In Endnote:
- Your references will appear in your Endnote Library. However, they will be messy and need to be edited. We'll work on cleaning this up!

Before searching the database, open your Endnote Library.
In Firefox:
- In database, click Add to Folder for desired selections.
- Click Go to: Folder View
- Check all selections.
- Click the Export icon.
- Select Direct Export in RIS format to Endnote, ProCite, CITAVI, or Reference Manager.
- Click Save.
- Important: In the box that appears, under the option Open with dropdown menu, choose Other...
- Click on the Endnote icon and click on Okay.

- Go to GoogleScholar. Click on the Scholar Preferences link to the right of the Scholar search box.
- Scroll to the bottom of the Scholar Preferences Page, and in the "Bibliographic Manager" section, check the option Show link to import citations into
- Choose EndNote
- Click the Save Preferences button
- When you do a search you will note the Import into EndNote link under the entry. Click it.
- Choose Open with EndNote...
- Reference will import on its own

In Firefox:
- Conduct your search. Then select the records you want.
- Click Export citation.
- Where it now says Select a format click the hyperlink that says RIS File.
- Click on Open with EndNote.

- Mark selections.
- Click the export button above the results.
- Choose if you want all the citations or just those marked.
- Choose EndNote
- Click export
- Click Open with EndNote
Proquest

- In database, tag desired items.
- Hover cursor over Export/Save.
- Choose Export directly to Procite, EndNote or Reference Manager.
- (Internet browers occasionally block Proquest exports as pop-ups. If a block occurs, simply Enable Proquest pop-ups.)
- A box will appear asking which program to open the export with. Choose Options and EndNote.
