Find online access for E-Journals. See which titles are featured. Enter a journal title or use the Category tab for a subject search.

9/27/2009: OCTOBER DATABASE OF THE MONTH

Each month we will feature a new database purchased by the Libraries. Enjoy exploring Early American Imprints, Shaw-Shoemaker 1801-1819. You will find images of the books, pamphlets, broadsides and other imprints listed in the distinguished bibliography by Ralph R. Shaw and Richard H. Shoemaker.

9/9/2009: CHANGES TO COLLECTION MANAGER

Blackwell's Collection Manager has implemented a new interface. The libraries are re-visioning our goals and working to create new ways of working with the product. While we do so, faculty access to Collection Manager has been suspended. We plan to begin re-distributing e-reports within the next few months, and to continue to work with faculty to build the collection in the meantime. Thanks for your patience!

9/9/2009: OCLC/FIRSTSEARCH PASSWORD CHANGES

The ID and password to access our subscriptions to OCLC/FirstSearch databases has changed. Please contact the reference desk or your library liaison for the new user id and password for these databases: Alternative Press Index Arts & Humanities Citation Index Contemporary Women's Issues GEOBASE

8/26/2009: NEW DATABASE OF THE MONTH

Each month will feature a new database purchased by the Libraries this year. Enjoy exploring American West in September. It contains original manuscripts, ephemeral material, maps, and rare printed works on the history of the western United States.

6/30/2009: ILLIAD UNAVAILABLE WEDNESDAY MORNING

Next Wednesday (7/8), we will be performing an upgrade on our interlibrary loan system, ILLiad, between 8 and 10 a.m. During that time, you will be unable to log in to place ILL requests, check the status of your requests, and view electronically delivered materials.

4/9/2009: POETRY CONTEST

Compose a limerick and/or haiku using at least three of the curious words from the word list (also available in Rolvaag library), and WIN! Submit your entry to the circulation desk by April 30. Good Luck!

The Rolvaag Library photo scavenger hunt is now underway! If you can correctly identify the 15 items pictured in the photos posted on the bulletin board near the gallery on the main floor, you could win your own personally designed button. The contest runs until March 20 and winners will be announced after spring break. Good luck!

1/23/2009: ROLVAAG LIBRARY CLOSING EARLY ON SATURDAY

In order to prepare for the annual Rolvaag mini-golf tournament, Rolvaag Library will close at 4 p.m. on Saturday (1/24).

1/12/2009: ROLVAAG OPEN

It's time for the 9th Annual Mini-Golf Tournament on January 24th. Tee times will begin at 5 p.m. and go every 5 minutes until 9 p.m. This is a sell-out event so get your tickets now!

12/6/2008: BRIDGE UNAVAILABLE DECEMBER 17TH

On Wednesday, December 17th, we will be replacing the current Bridge hardware with a new server. As a result, the Bridge catalog will not be available that day. Please plan ahead and complete any searching you need to do for final papers and exams by the 16th. We expect that Bridge will be available again on December 18th. Thank you for your patience as we complete this important piece of maintenance work!

10/3/2008: SCIENCE LIBRARY MOVE COMPLETE

The Science Library is now open in its new location in Regents Hall! Please stop by and enjoy this beautiful new space. Reserves will continue to be available at Rolvaag Library through the weekend; they will be moved back to Science on Monday.

10/1/2008: SCIENCE LIBRARY UPDATE

The Science Library move is nearly complete. However, due to some final construction issues, the library will not be open on Thursday (10/2). We hope to open at 8 a.m. on Friday (10/3). Reserves will continue to be available at Rolvaag Library until the new library opens. Thank you for your continued patience as the finishing touches are put on the beautiful new library!

9/23/2008: SCIENCE LIBRARY MOVE

The Science Library is moving to its new location in Regents Hall this week. The library will reopen on October 2nd in Regents Hall. Reserves are available at Rolvaag Library. Thank you for your patience as we work to complete this complex move!

2/18/2008: MEDIA LAB IN ROLVAAG LIBRARY

Check out the new media lab in Rolvaag Library near the reference desk. Over interim, IIT installed 5 Mac stations, including a video editing area. The media room lab (near the DVD/VHS collection) is now mainly PCs. Happy computing!
