10/22/2013: HALLOWEEN READING EVENT!
Come listen to Randy Clay read from "The Cremation of Sam McGee" by Robert Service at 5pm on Halloween in the Reference Room! Illustrated by painter Ted Harrison, who used his signature broad brushstrokes and unconventional color choices to bring this gritty narrative poem to life. Evoking both the beauty and solitude of the Yukon landscape, Harrison's paintings proved the perfect match for Service's masterpiece about a doomed prospector adrift in a harsh land. There will be candy, and costumes are encouraged!
10/22/2013: BOOKS OF SPELLS NOW ON DISPLAY

Due to the government shutdown, a number of federally-funded research websites, such as CDC, ERIC, Library of Congress, National Archives, PubMed.gov, and U.S. Census Bureau, are being affected and may be unavailable or not up to date. This does not affect our library-subscription databases. Because the Library of Congress is closed, Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service for certain rare materials may also be negatively impacted. Reference Librarians are happy to help you identify alternative sources for your government information needs.
