The OLE Card and the Libraries

This year, many offices on campus have switched to using the "OLE Card" for identification. From this point on, the Libraries will only accept the OLE Card for checking out books. No old cards will be accepted.

If you've already picked up your card, you may have read the notice on the back that states "no one may use this card except the person to whom it is issued." Since the new card will be used for so many purposes, including as a cash card and building key, the Libraries will be enforcing this by confiscating any cards that are presented by someone other than the person pictured on the card. We encourage everyone to follow this policy. However, if faculty need to send their card with a student worker or AAA, they will need to fill out this form: http://www.stolaf.edu/library/libinfo/one_card_permission.pdf

Your card will still be accepted at the Carleton library if you wish to check out materials there. If you have any questions about using the OLE Card in the Libraries, please contact Sara Leake. Read more about the OLE Card at http://www.stolaf.edu/olecard/
