This online magazine provides access to many recent articles about foreign affairs and political issues. You can also search the back issues for specific topics.
Foreign Policy in Focus
Established by an international network of more than 650 policy analysts and advocates, this site allows you to search under the categories of regions, topics, and products, and it includes a media center that provides connections to different types of documents.
Terrorism: Questions & Answers
This site from the Council on Foreign Relations is a good place to start researching the subject of terrorism.

TWN Third World Network
A collection of news, analysis, and policy papers on issues facing third-world countries.

University of Texas at Austin Russian and East European Network Information Center
A guide to sources on countries in Eastern Europe, the Baltics, the Balkans, the Caucasus, and Central Asia.

Euroguide is a subject gateway to authoritative Web sites that contain information about the European Union.

The EU's English-language home page with links to a wide range of documents and information on European politics, economics, history and commerce
European Union Internet Resources
Maintained throught the UC-Berkeley Library, provides links to various Internet sources about the European Union, including documents on the Web.
Government Views of Iraq
This site "concentrates on government documents and information and while the bulk of the resources are from the United States, there are international entries as well."
Internet Resource Guides from the School of Politics, International Relations and the Environment:
Keele University in Scotland has collected links to resources on global governments and politics, environmental politics, elections, human rights and other political topics. The web site lacks visual appeal but offers a wealth of research possibilities.
Political Database of the Americas
Contains current primary source documents and political information about Latin American politics.
RFE/RL Newsline
Offers daily reports of developments in Eastern and Southeastern Europe, Russia, the Caucasus, and Central Asia prepared by the staff of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty. Includes links to individual countries.
Roper Center
This site is a unique resource providing access to survey files in addition to the Japanese and Latin American Data Banks. The site is also linked to the world's largest archive of machine-readable public opinion data.

Political Science Resources on the Web
The University of Michigan Documents Center's collection of web links to political resources, including area studies, foreign politics, international relations, state and local governments, news media, election and polling statistics and think tanks. Strongly recommended.
Politics Gateway
A central point of access to political science databases and other sources of information on international politics. This web site will be particularly useful for projects that involve British politics, national constutitions, international elections and gender and politics. In addition, this web site provides information about dozens of scholarly databases on topics ranging from human rights to arctic research. The site is provided by the United Kingdom's dominant political science organization, the Political Studies Association. Strongly recommended.
Richard Kimber's Political Science Resources
Kimber of Keele University, England, offers links to a vast array of documents, statistics and information on world governments and politics.

Resource Center of the Americas
A Minnesota-based organization that provides information and develops programs demonstrating connections between the peoples of Latin America, the Caribbean, and the United States.
United Nations Commission on Human Rights
Press releases, documents, treaties, and descriptions of the UNCHR's programs.
The University of Minnesota Human Rights Library
Developed by the University of Minnesota Human Rights Center, with support from the John Merck Fund, and the Ford Foundation, this database contains "over nin ety of the most important international human rights treaties" and resource materials. It can be search by key words or through the directory.

American Society of International Law
Headquartered in Washington, D.C., this organization provides access to numerous resources on international law, including the ASIL Guide to Electronic Resources for International Law, International Law Links Springboard, and recent articles.
 
Carnegie Endowment for International Peace
A nonpartisan organization dedicated to shaping fresh policy approaches toward global change. Interests span geographic regions and the relations among governments, business, international organizations and civil society, focusing on the economic, political, and technological forces driving global change. Through its Carnegie Moscow Center, the Endowment helps develop a tradition of public policy analysis in the states of the former Soviet Union and improves relations between Russia and the United States.
European Union Internet Resources
A site providing resources, news, policies and legislation, and profiles of EU countries.
IGC PeaceNet
A site of resources in peace, human rights and social and economic justice.
Multilaterals Project of the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy (Tufts University)
An ongoing project to make available the texts of international multilateral conventions and other instruments. Includes treaties in the fields of environment, human rights, commerce and trade, laws of war and arms control, and other areas. The vast majority of texts date from the second half of the 20th century, but the collection also includes historical texts, from the 1648 Treaty of Westphalia to the Covenant of the League of Nations.
United Nations
The official website, maintained by the United Nations Department of Public Information. Access to a vast collection of UN documents on peace and security, economic and social development, human rights, humanitarian affairs and international law. Also includes links to live webcasts of UN meetings and events.
United Nations Scholars' Workstation
A collection of text, finding aids, data sets, maps, and references to print and electronic information. Compiled by the Library and the Social Science Statistical Laboratory at Yale.

Downloadable data and the explanatory codebooks on U.S. public opinion, voting and political participation for presidential and midterm elections over five decades. The site also contains links to tables and graphs about specific aspects of public opinion and electoral behavior from the 1948-1998 surveys.

Links are provided to all 43 presidents, who are listed in chronological order with their terms of office, background information, election results, cabinet members, and notable events. There are also links to biographies, historical documents, audio and video files, and other presidential sites.
Vital Statistics on American Politics 2001-2002
Congressional Quarterly's extensive compilation of statistical data on elections and political parties, campaign finance, public opinion and voting, the media, Congress, presidency, judiciary, federalism, foreign and military policy, social policy and economic policy.
