Fairview Health Services and HealthEast Care System provide acute, long-term, hospice, and home care services as well as rehabilitative, mental health, and outpatient services.
The Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet is a congregation of women religious associated with the Catholic Church. Since the sisters arrived in St. Paul over 150 years ago, about 2,400 women have joined the St. Paul Province, one of seven in the US. During this time the sisters have worked in education, health care, and social and religious services, principally in the Upper Midwest. Today they operate neighborhood clinics for the homeless, the poor, as well as the medically uninsured and underserved; they also sponsor two hospitals and operate a long-term care facility for retired religious.
