Skifter Hall houses the Tormodsgaard-Bakken Recital Hall (commonly known as "Studio A.") Originally a broadcast venue for the college's radio station, the hall was remodeled in 1985, designed expressly for organ teaching, practice, and recitals. The Studio A organ was the first three-manual instrument built by Lynn Dobson. The hall's acoustical design prevents the instrument from overwhelming its comparatively small home.
