Internship at Monkey Wrench Productions

Do you like theatrical equipment?  Would you like to learn more about MonkeyWrenchaudio/lighting/staging equipment and accessories?  Would you like to have fun while you do?  Join the team at Monkey Wrench Productions!  Monkey Wrench is looking for fun and enthusiastic individuals to assist with day-to-day operations in their brand new office building.  Duties may include: helping with product demonstrations and open houses, setting up fixtures and demo items in the showroom, pulling/packaging/shipping orders, light office duties, and helping the Head Chimp and Sales Monkey in their day-to-day activities.  This is a great opportunity to have hands-on experience with state-of-the-art entertainment equipment in a fun and relaxed setting with a fun and knowledgeable team.  If interested, please contact Debbie (Sales Monkey) at 612.208.0497 or Debbie@MonkeyWrenchPro.com.

ATD/Master Carpenter 

    The Assistant Technical Director/Master Carpenter will be directly responsible for construction of all scenic elements required of a given production. The successful candidate will have a BFA Degree in Technical Theater or equivalent and 2 years professional experience. They will have a thorough knowledge of carpentry, welding, and theatrical rigging; demonstrated knowledge and experience in scenery construction techniques; the ability to generate working drawings in AutoCAD or Vectorworks as well as strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience in scheduling, hiring and managing shop crews is a must. The successful candidate will also have demonstrated adaptability in all situations, and have the ability to work as a team member while always presenting a positive attitude. Knowledge of pneumatics systems and stage mechanics considered a plus.

Lead Carpenter

    The Lead Carpenter supports the Technical Director and Assistant Technical Director in construction, load‐-ins and strikes of scenery for the production season. The successful candidate will have 2 years professional experience. They will have a thorough knowledge of carpentry, welding, and theatrical rigging; demonstrated knowledge and experience in scenery construction techniques; strong verbal and written communication skills. The successful candidate will also have the ability to show adaptability in all situations, and have the ability to work as a team member while always presenting a positive attitude. Knowledge of pneumatics systems and stage mechanics considered a plus.
