St. Olaf men's tennis team competes at Gustavus

The St. Olaf men's tennis team competed October 4th and 5th at Gustavus. Peder Thoen, Dan Cohen, and Ted and Tom Nagel participated in the ITA (Intercollegiate Tennis Association) regional tournament. Highlights included each of the players winning their first round match and Tom Nagel winning an additional match. In the doubles, the Nagel brothers reached the quarterfinals.

The other tournament, the Midwest Open, was for a team's four through eight ranked players. Mike Matsurra, Tom Wampler, and Matt Clark participated for the Oles in this tournament. Mike Matsurra won his first round match and Mike and Matt Clark won their first round doubles match.

These tournaments conclude the Oles fall season. The players will be playing on their own during the off-season in order to prepare for the spring season which begins with practice on January 20th.
