Nancy Ashmore
October 31, 2002

"I now see that the Christian tradition -- including its claims about Jesus -- is not something to be believed, but something to be lived in," says Marcus Borg. The controversial professor of religion will explore this idea at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31, in Boe Memorial Chapel, in his talk titled "How to Read the Bible Today: Two Paradigms." The lecture is sponsored by the O.C. and Patricia Boldt Teaching Chair in the Humanities. It is free and open to the public.
