Johnson named MIAC's Special Teams Player of the Week

St. Olaf punter/kicker Nate Johnson (So., Menomonie, Wis.) was named special teams player of the week in the MIAC after another solid performance Saturday.

Johnson averaged just over 35 yards a punt and held Hamline to an 11-yard return average on eight kickoffs in the Oles 48-12 win over the Pipers.

Johnson is currently fourth in the MIAC in punting and has had eight punts downed inside the 20.

In addition to his duties on the gridiron, Johnson also baseball for St. Olaf and is pursuing a degree in math and economics.
