The St. Olaf women's cross country ran a dual meet against MIAC rival, Gustavus, this past weekend in a 2-mile race. With only 62 seconds separating the top twelve runners, the Oles dominated the race and finished ahead of the Gusties with a score of 20 to 37. Lead by senior Megan Daymont (Northfield, Minn.) with Kari Koos (FY, Leavenworth, Wash.) and Marit Grorud (Jr., Fremont, Nebr.) close behind. Keeping with this fall Ole cross country tradition, the first year runners Brenna Bray, (Stillwater, Minn.) Kezia Manlove (Rapid City, SD), Erin Bengston, (Flower Mound, Tex.) and Lindsay Boetcher (Eau Claire, Wisc.) completed the top seven positions for the Oles, all finishing within 47 seconds of Daymont.

The other Oles not only raced within the tight packs that are synonomous with St. Olaf, but also proved that the whole team is ready to compete and race at the MIAC Conference meet this coming week. Look for the Oles to be in full force and ready at Como Park this Saturday. The men's race begins at 2:00 pm with the woman's race to start at 3:00 pm. Watch for the Oles to continue to compete strongly against Gustavus and Carleton as they look to win the MIAC Championship title for fifth consecutative year.

Go Oles...run fast!
