Bethel College raced to a 19-point halftime lead and cruised to an 82-54 win over the St. Olaf men's basketball team Tuesday night in Arden Hills, Minn. The loss eliminated the Oles from the playoffs.

Tim Nelson (Sr., Braham, Minn.) had 20 and Mike Ludwig (Sr., Blaine, Minn.) 19 points to lead St. Olaf.

Bethel was an impressive 15-33 from three in the win. Andy Gilbert led a balanced Royal scoring attack with 16 points and Drew Brodin added 11.

Bethel moves to the MIAC semifinals to face Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn. on Thursday. The Oles end the season at 15-11, the most wins since the 1997-98.
