The Center for Experiential Learning, led by Project Director Brad Kmoch, has been awarded three grants totaling $1,750 from the Minnesota Campus Compact. The grants will support civic engagement activities and research at St. Olaf College. The first grant helped to support the St. Olaf College Civic Engagement Teach-In on Feb. 17, which was part of National Civic Engagement Week -- a national effort to increase student involvement in public life and service. The second grant will be used to create opportunities for students and student groups on campus to create dialogue around civic engagement issues. The final grant will be support the assessment of service-learning courses at the college.
