A Voyager from the Fourth Dimension is the title for the fall 2004 Mellby Lecture

by Sandra Gilderhus
November 11, 2004

The fall Mellby Memorial Lecture will be given by Paul Humke, on Thursday, Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. in the Buntrock Commons, Viking Theater. Humke is professor of mathematics and the North American Director of the Budapest Semester in Math and has chosen the title "A Voyager from the Fourth Dimension" for the lecture.

The Mellby Memorial Lectures, given twice a year at St. Olaf College, are in memory of Carl A. Mellby, a faculty member from 1901-49, and now honor successors on the faculty selected by a committee of peers, for the significance of their scholarly work.

The second Mellby Lecture for this academic year will be given by Jolene Barjasteh, associate professor of French, on Feb. 24, 2005, at 7 p.m. in Buntrock Commons, Viking Theater.
