Guest speaker Ronald Young offers a post-election perspective

St. Olaf College will host guest speaker Ronald J. Young whose lecture, "Prospects for Israeli-Palestinian Peace: A Post-Election Perspective" will consider the implications of Americaŭs presidential choice on the Middle East on the day following the national election. The lecture, on Wednesday, Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. in Holland Hall 501, is sponsored by the St. Olaf Middle East Studies concentration. It is free and open to the public.

Ronald J. Young is founder and director of the U.S. Interreligious Committee for Peace in the Middle East, a national organization of 2,500 American Jews, Christians and Muslims who are working together for peace in the Middle East based on the deepest values in the three traditions. Throughout the United States, the committee offers programs of dialogue, education and advocacy in support of active U.S. policies that would encourage comprehensive and lasting peace between Israel, the Palestinians and the Arab nation states
