Eric Lund named director of International and Off-Campus Studies

St. Olaf College has named Professor of Religion Eric Lund Director of International and Off-Campus Studies. As director, Lund's duties will include helping plan new programs, overseeing the international scholars program and promoting the integration of a global perspective into the St. Olaf curriculum. He will also supervise activities related to Fulbright fellowships.

Competent in several languages, Eric Lund has led St. Olaf programs in several countries.
"I welcome the opportunity to work more directly with the staff of the International and Off-Campus Studies Office," says Lund. "St. Olaf is a leader in study abroad programs and I look forward to the task of sustaining this strong reputation and pioneering new developments in the future."

Currently in his 25th year on the St. Olaf faculty, Lund has served as program adviser for study-service in Papua New Guinea and he has led study-abroad terms in Germany and the Middle East. He has also led numerous interim courses in Italy, Germany and South Africa. Competent in several foreign languages, Lund has taught multiple courses in and served as director of the college's Foreign Language Across the Curriculum program. Lund holds a M.Div. and Ph.D. from Yale University.
