Annual mini golf tournament attracts 150 participants

On Saturday, about 150 golfers negotiated stairways, ramps, the elevator and even a water trap during the annual St. Olaf College miniature golf tournament in Rolvaag Memorial Library. Funds raised by the tournament benefited the library and two St. Olaf student service projects: More than a Game, a mentoring program that targets Somali and Latino youth, and the Nightingale Project, a mentoring program that connects St. Olaf women with girls from Northfield Middle School. The library plans to use its share of the $600 raised by the event to acquire popular DVDs that will be available to the St. Olaf community.
