Nathan Dungan '87 appeared on Minnesota Public Radio's Midmorning Show July 14 with host Kerri Miller. Dungan discussed the topic, "Will Our Children Be Stewards?"

The show focused on the national stewardship gathering of the Episcopal Church that took place in the Twin Cities the following weekend. Dungan, the keynote speaker for the conference, was joined by two other guests who discussed the role the church can play in our hyper-consumer world. They explored if the church can help young people develop healthy financial habits in a culture that overwhelms them with messages to spend.

The broadcast is available through the Minnesota Public Radio website.

Dungan is an author, award-winning speaker and national expert on family finances and the effects of mass marketing on young people. A top-performing financial advisor and vice president of marketing for a Fortune 500 financial services company, he founded Share-Save-Spend LLC, an organization that helps people of all ages develop and maintain healthy financial habits.

Since 1990 Dungan has been creating and presenting values-based financial workshops. At conferences and events Dungan offers insight drawn from his highly successful Share-Save-SpendTM approach to money, and offers convincing examples to help participants build successful financial boundaries.

Dungan has been widely quoted in the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today and TIME magazine and has appeared on CBS, CNN and PBS.

In 2003, Dungan's first book, Prodigal Sons & Material Girls: How Not to Be Your Child's ATM, was released nationwide by publisher John Wiley & Sons.
