Emeritus faculty member comments on choir tour

"I think the goal of the whole department of music at St. Olaf is to see music as a divine gift," emeritus St. Olaf faculty member Ken Graber recently told an Arizona paper in anticipation of an upcoming tour performance by the St. Olaf Choir.

"The staff cultivates this gift in the students through many ways, but the national and international tours of the band, orchestra and choir provide additional in-depth means," adds Graber, who was academic adviser to student Anton Armstrong '78, who now is conductor of the St. Olaf Choir.
