Guest pianists Deanne Mohr, Eric Brisson to perform

Canadian pianists Deanne Mohr and Eric Brisson will present a recital in Christiansen Hall of Music, Urness Recital Hall on Thursday, April 3, at 8:15 p.m. The program will include works by Olivier Messiaen, Cesar Franck and Henri Dutilleux. The event is free and open to the public.

Mohr earned her Bachelor of Music degree with great distinction from the University of Regina, and she completed her graduate studies at the University of Montreal, where she earned a doctorate in piano performance in 2000. She has received numerous scholarships and awards, including prizes in the Saskatchewan Music Festival Association Concerto Competition, the Florence Bowes Scholarship Competition, and the CIBC National Music Festival.
Brisson holds a Doctorate in piano interpretation from the University of Montreal. He has been performing in Canada since 1989 and has been a laureate in several national-level music competitions, such as the Canadian Music Competition. Brisson earned a bachelor's degree in computer science from McGill University in 2002. Inspired by his interest in information technologies and classical music, Brisson created and developed Pianopedia in 2001. This Internet search engine for the classical piano repertoire receives approximately 20,000 visitors monthly.
