"Over the Hill," the first of two senior art shows this spring, will be on display at the Flaten Art Museum in Dittmann Center until April 28. It is free and open to the public.

The title of this spring's senior art show is "Over the Hill."
The senior shows are the part of a capstone course for studio art majors. The course consists of advanced studio work, a visiting artist series, weekly critiques, and discussions with faculty and peers. Each student's independent work with a faculty adviser culminates in the senior exhibition at Flaten Art Museum. Seniors are responsible for developing a concept, creating a body of work and preparing it for installation. Senior artists will present works ranging from performance to paintings, prints, photography and sculpture.

"The senior show is a time of celebration of what we have done and what we will do in the future," says studio art major Lisa Skildum '08, whose work will appear in the show. "Not only is this class one of the most talented and innovative group of individuals I have seen on this campus, but also our genuine support for each other is a rare gift. It was so wonderful working with people who truly want the best for one other."
