Freeman performs a balancing act

Dona Freeman, artist in residence in Theatre, is one of four women who made a presentation at a recent Women's History Month forum, "Women in the Arts," at Joyce Church in Minneapolis. For the event she performed a monologue about balancing the multiple roles of mother, wife, faculty member, actor, and director.

Freeman also serves on the board of directors of the Frank Theatre, which the Star Tribune claims is responsible for two of the 10 "outstanding theatre productions of the decade." Recently she planned a St. Olaf Theatre alumni event that coincided with Frank's original production of Kafka's Metamorphosis. This summer Freeman will be working with the Frank on their "Shakespeare in the Parking Lot" production of A Midsummer Night's Dream.
