VIDEO NEWS: Student gardeners establish adoption agency

This spring the student farmers at the St. Olaf Garden Research and Organic Works (STOGROW) farm project established a new adopt-a-seedling program. The initiative allowed student volunteers to raise seedlings in their residence hall rooms before returning them for planting — just one of many tasks the farmers are completing as they gear up for summer.

It's all part of the annual cycle that last year produced some five tons of produce for the Bon Appetit kitchens at St. Olaf, including tomatoes, eggplant, herbs, squash, peppers, winter greens, and — new this year — sweet potatoes.
