'Requirements' page gets a nod

The Association of American Colleges and Universities has cited St. Olaf's "Don't just check off all those requirements" page on the college's web site as a notable example of how American colleges can help "ensure that all students graduate prepared for the challenges of the new global century." Part of the AACU's Liberal Education and America's Promise project, the page is designed to help students learn — through advice from students, alumni, and employers — about how general education courses contribute to professional success.

The page was a collaborative effort between Institutional Research and Evaluation and the committee that organized Week One 2010.
