Mystery internship pays off

Molly Moon '12 (at right) had no idea what kind of work she'd be doing for a new website idea by award-winning entrepreneur Genevieve Thiers. "When I got here, the website was a complete and utter secret," Moon says about the internship in an Associated Colleges of the Midwest story.

Once the mystery business was revealed — a new professional services referral site called ContactKarma — Moon ended up playing a central role by helping with marketing, sales, PR, and more, and was consulted on decisions made by the company's president and CEO. "It's been a great experience being able to be involved that much in a business and really know I'm making a difference in what they’re doing," she told ACM.
