Ellison to discuss 'vision for America'

U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison will visit campus April 19 to deliver a lecture titled "Vision for America: An Ever-Expanding Embrace," which will focus on his experiences with religion and politics.

Ellison, a Democrat who represents Minnesota's Fifth Congressional District, was the first Muslim elected to Congress and is the highest-ranking Muslim elected official in the country. His appearance at St. Olaf is sponsored by Pi Sigma Alpha and the Martin E. Marty Regents Chair in Religion and the Academy.
