Assistant Professor of Religion Torin Alexander and Professor of Religion John Barbour just returned from the Lutheran Academy of Scholars Summer Seminar. The seminar, held at Harvard Divinity School from June 20 to July 1, was directed by Harvard Professor Ronald Thiemann.

At the conference, faculty from all fields of study are invited to consider the often overlooked profundities of everyday life. This year, 10 faculty members from Evangelical Lutheran Church in America colleges discussed issues surrounding the theme "Thinking from Below: the Place of the Everyday in Contemporary Scholarship."
