"People really want to go on trips, and with a little more work, you can raise money for something important," canoeist Natalie Warren '11 told the Star Tribune during a stop along the 2,250-mile adventure she's sharing with classmate Ann Raiho. "It gives you time to reflect, to talk about things. Plus, you're independent."

The story, "Canoes, kayaks are becoming vehicles for fundraising," notes that the recent graduates so far have raised $4,000 for the YMCA's Camp Menogyn.
