Music faculty members John Ferguson and Christopher Aspaas will lead hymn sings across the country over the next month as part of the Augsburg Fortress Worship and Music Clinics.

The two teamed up to lead this year's summer clinics, which will be held in seven metropolitan areas across the country ranging from Chicago to Los Angeles to Philadelphia. Another St. Olaf music faculty member, Jill Mahr, will conduct a handbell lesson during the clinic that will be held in Minneapolis.

Each two-day clinic includes a hymn sing created by Ferguson and co-led by Ferguson and Aspaas, as well as reading sessions and workshops dedicated to advancing church music. Aspaas notes that a number of current students, recent alumni, and parents showed up at the recent Chicago clinic to add their voices to the service, and he encourages Oles across the country to attend upcoming clinics. "We would love to see more at our next locations," he says.
