TRiO's Educational Talent Search gets $1.3 million

The TRiO program of St. Olaf has received a new grant of $1.3 million over five years from the U.S. Department of Education. The grant will benefit the Educational Talent Search (ETS) program, one of the programs under the TRiO umbrella that aims to increase availability and success in post-secondary education in low-income, first-generation students, and students with disabilities. ETS differs from other TRiO programs in that it serves young people in grades six through 12 by providing counseling and information about college admissions requirements, scholarships, and student financial aid programs.

St. Olaf's ETS program serves more than 700 students in five schools located throughout Minneapolis and St. Paul.
