Gearing up for the royal visit

The Star Tribune and Associated Press have filed stories in advance of the October 14 visit to St. Olaf by Norway's King Harald V and Queen Sonja. The two news organizations have tapped into Norwegian-American feelings about the visit, with the Strib's "Norwegian pride is busting out all over" echoing the AP's "Royals stir Norway pride."

Both stories begin by checking in with students in St. Olaf Assistant Professor of Norwegian Kari Lie's beginning language class as they practice welcoming the royal couple for a class visit.

Also read about a 200-year-old Hardanger fiddle that's been dusted off for the visit, and watch KSTP's news story about Lie's class.
