Darin Steffl '13 discussing his company during an interview with Minnesota 2020.

Darin Steffl '13, who this spring started his own company with the support of an entrepreneurial grant from St. Olaf College, is featured in Minnesota 2020's Activated Voices video series.

In the video Steffl talks about why he decided to launch Minnesota WiFi, a company that provides high-speed Internet service to rural communities, and how he's gone about making his dream a reality.

"An entrepreneur doesn't have just one idea, they have many," Steffl says in the video. "They need to formulate the best ones and develop those, and just take the initial risk. If you fail, it's not the end of the world."

Minnesota 2020 is a new media, non-partisan think tank concerned with public policy issues in the state of Minnesota, focusing specifically on education, health care, transportation, and economic development.

The video on Steffl was produced by Tom Niemisto '08, a St. Olaf College alumnus who works as the video production specialist for Minnesota 2020.
