Runners finish strong at national championships

St. Olaf College sophomore Grant Wintheiser (at right) finished third at the NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country Championships, capping his standout season with a time that earned him All-American honors.

Emma Lee '13 finished fifth and Jorden Johnson '15 ninth at the NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Championships, each earning All-American honors while leading the St. Olaf women's cross country team to an eighth-place finish.

This was the fourth straight year the women's team earned the chance to compete at the national championships.

The St. Olaf men's cross country team, competing at the national championships for the fourth time in the past five years, finished in 14th place.
