Women's Basketball Opens MIAC Season With A Win
NOVEMBER 30, 2000 — The Ole women's basketball team held off the Hamline Pipers in the waning seconds of the MIAC opener to come up with a 65-64 win.

St. Olaf College capital campaign reaches $100 million; largest amount raised by Lutheran college
NOVEMBER 29, 2000 — NORTHFIELD, Minn. ? In the most ambitious fund-raising effort in its 125-year history, St. Olaf College has reached the $100-million benchmark in its Fram! Fram! Forward St. Olaf capital campaign. It is the largest amount ever raised by a Lutheran college ? 80 percent of the $125-million goal. The milestone was reached one year after the campaign was announced.

Bresnan Races at Nationals
NOVEMBER 21, 2000 — St. Olaf senior Mark Bresnan raced to 112th place at the Division III national cross-country championships on Saturday in Spokane, Washington.

NOVEMBER 21, 2000 — Nicole Trnka was recently named to the All-Region volleyball team for her outstanding performance throughout the season.

Oles Compete at U of MN. Invite
NOVEMBER 20, 2000 — A handful of St.Olaf swimmers and divers headed to Minneapolis this weekend for the U of M invitational meet. The meet was based on the championship meet format which lasted three days with a prelim and final session each day of competition. The St.Olaf team encountered some of the country's top athletes in the pool. Most of the other teams that St.Olaf competed against this weekend were from division I schools.

Mens Hockey Drops 2 to NCHA Foes
NOVEMBER 20, 2000 — The St. Olaf men?s hockey team traveled to De Pere, WI and Lake Forest, IL this past weekend for the first two of 6 crossover games with the NCHA. However, the Oles did not fare well losing 10-4 on Friday night to St. Norbert?s College and 5-3 on Saturday to Lake Forest College. With the losses, St. Olaf moves to 2-4 overall (2-2 MIAC). Next up is a two game series with the Pipers of Hamline University on Friday, December 1 in Northfield and Saturday, December 2 in St. Paul. Both games begin at 7 pm.

NOVEMBER 7, 2000 — The St. Olaf Women?s Swimming and Diving Team opened the season at Moorhead, Minn. against Concordia College and Moorhead State University. The Ole women officially started their dual meet season, and swam their way to a 2-0 record.

Gusties End Ole Football Winning Streak
NOVEMBER 6, 2000 — Gustavus Adolphus College defeated St. Olaf College 45-28 in the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome Saturday night, ending St. Olaf?s three game winning streak. The Gusties? 515 yards of offense were too much for the Oles, whose offense played well at points, but couldn?t answer Gustavus? high charged attack.
