JULY 31, 2007 — Student life at St. Olaf received some interesting media exposure recently with a photo in the New York Times and quotes from two incoming students in the Star Tribune.

Science Complex will be completed in one phase
JULY 30, 2007 — At its June meeting, the St. Olaf Board of Regents resolved to build the new Science Complex all at once, rather than in two phases. That means an important step forward in the academic and community life of St. Olaf College.

Professor's work featured at Minneapolis Institute of Arts

JULY 23, 2007 — St. Olaf Associate Professor of Art Mary Griep's series of wall-sized collaged drawings, titled Anastylosis, currently is on display at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. Griep's work is a combination of layers of original drawings, photograph fragments and other materials in intricately detailed panoramic collages.

National Geographic image features alumnus
JULY 20, 2007 — A story about the ongoing recovery of New Orleans in the August 2007 edition of National Geographic includes a photo of the current home of alumnus Robert Green '77, who lost his mother and granddaughter during Hurricane Katrina. The caption notes that Green was the first to return to his street after the storm. "My pain has made me stronger," he told the magazine.

STOGROW farm to host summer festival Saturday
JULY 20, 2007 — St. Olaf's student-run farm grows all kinds of tasty veggies for the college's kitchens and provides a unique opportunity for student research. On July 21 the farm will host a summer festival that will include a number of activities and tasty treats.
