Student
Evaluations of Courses and Instructors
[Faculty
Handbook Category #2]
Faculty members are encouraged to seek student feedback on the
quality of their courses and the effectiveness of their instruction. The Office of Academic Research and Planning
provides a variety of services to assist faculty in developing and
administering evaluations for purposes of instructional improvement. Instructor-initiated evaluations are
formative in nature; their principal purpose is to promote faculty development
and instructional improvement. The
Office of Academic Research and Planning will provide results of
instructor-initiated evaluations only to the instructor.
