Special Leave

1. Special leaves are understood to be leaves for special purposes (e.g., for study, to pursue graduate work or special research projects, for dependent care).
2. A special leave may cause a faculty member to lose eligibility for benefits. If so, the faculty member will be offered the opportunity to continue some of his or her benefits under COBRA.
