RPC
Bryn Geffert, on behalf of the Review and Planning Committee, presented RPC 03/04-1, Section 4, Article IX, Tenure, and Article XI, "Procedures for Granting Tenure and Promotion," as set forth in said green sheet. This was the motion tabled at the May 2003 meeting, and the green sheet reflects those changes made in said meeting. Geffert asked for any questions or comments on the green sheet. Discussion included how different departments handled "shall also poll all of the tenured members of the department to determine the level of support." General discussion centered on the ability of each department to determine how to interpret this. The term "academic unit" was brought up as a possible term to be considered within the green sheet. RPC will present a final motion at the October, 2003 meeting.
