National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE)
Previous results and reports
St. Olaf has participated in NSSE four times since Spring 2001. In Spring 2008, NSSE was completed by 389 first-years (53% of the first-year class) and 342 seniors (50% of the senior class). Results suggested that, similar to their peers at other selective institutions, St. Olaf students experienced both a high level of academic challenge and a supportive campus environment, engaged in active and collaborative learning, and participated in enriching educational experiences. However, St. Olaf students reported somewhat less interaction with faculty than did students at similar institutions.
