General Education 111: First Year Writing
Religion 121 Semester II, 2009-2010
As part of St. Olaf College's General Education curriculum, new first-year students must complete two courses during the first year of enrollment. These courses are Religion 121 (Bible, Culture, and Community) and General Education 111 (First Year Writing).
Students exempted from having to enroll in Religion 121 and GE 111 are:
- Great Conversation students
- International exchange students (student studying one year or less at St. Olaf)
Listed below are links to section descriptions for GE 111 and Religion 121.
- The Interim/Semeseter II web registration period will open on Friday, November 6. Students should include their choices for GE 111 or Religion 121 in their submitted course schedules. Semester II web registration will close on Wednesday, November 18 at 8:00 a.m.
- First-year Religion and Writing are two separate courses with each course offering multiple section choices. Each section is taught by a different instructor and have a varied theme of study. Students will review section descriptions and submit your section preferences using web pre-registration process.
- For detailed instructions on how to use web registration, go to the Registrar's Office
Every effort will be made to register you for a section of your choice. Remember, though, class size is small, and possible conflicts with other courses may restrict these choices so please remain open to alternatives.
If you have any questions, please contact Cheryl LaCroix.
