St. Olaf Amnesty International seeks to establish Human Rights Week as a sustainable outlet for furthering awareness and activism on issues surrounding internationally recognized human rights. By engaging students and faculty through an eclectic blend of speakers, music, and other events, Human Rights Week aims to:

- Promote awareness among the St. Olaf community on issues surrounding Human Rights.

-Provide an introduction to international service opportunities both on the hill and beyond.

-Exist as a visible expression of the St. Olaf Community’s commitment to educating “responsible citizens of the world.

The goals and presentation of Human Rights Week will always honor Amnesty International’s pledge to remain indifferent to the influence of governmental, religious, and ideological affiliation.
