The Five People You Meet in Heaven by: Mitch Albom

In The Five People You Meet in Heaven, Mitch Albom illustrates an original picture of the afterlife one man experiences after death. In it the man converses with five people with whom he came in contact during his life. Some of them he knew for years, and some are complete strangers, but they all help him to reflect and find meaning and purpose in his life. I liked that in taking such a novel approach to someone's afterlife, Mitch Albom comforts the reader by setting a pattern in which the man meets his next person, he shows a bit of the man's life, and then the man discusses it with his person. Despite the Christian setting, I would reccomend this book to anyone, regardless of his or her faith, because at the end the book reminds us as humans of some thoughts to keep in mind through our journeys through life.
