GLOW! (Gay, Lesbian, or Whatever!) is a group comprised of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender (GLBT), and heterosexual persons. GLOW! helps to educate, provide resources for and foster acceptance and support for self-identified GLBT persons with and through the alliance of all sexual orientations and gender identities. We hope to create a safe environment for all through open discussion, educational activities, and social events.

Membership in the organization and/or participation in events are in no way an indicator of sexual orientation, gender identity, or sexual behavior.

Saturday, March 1, 10:00 p.m.–1 a.m. The Lion’s Pause DRAG BALL
This year’s theme: Prom. Featuring Gizelle, Drag Queen extraordinaire; DJ Shannon Blowtorch from Pi Bar & Restaurant; and fabulous prizes. Free and open to all. Pre-event pampering and costume preparation in the GSC (Thompson House) on Friday, February 29 at 8:00.

Tuesday, March 4, 3:00 p.m. Buntrock 143 FACULTY & STAFF PANEL: SAFE SPACES ON CAMPUS

Members of the faculty & staff of St. Olaf will speak on topics related to creating safe spaces on campus for GLBTQ persons, as well as the process of incorporating GLBT issues into classroom curriculum. Don’t miss this opportunity.

Tuesday, March 4, 8:00 p.m. Buntrock 142 SAFE SEX IN GLBT RELATIONSHIPS

This event sponsored by the Wellness Center will detail the safe sex methods that can be used by GLBT persons, since some of the information is unique and not commonly discussed.

Wednesday, March 5, 9:00 p.m. (Doors 8:30 p.m.) The Lion’s Lair ELLIS CONCERT

Acoustic folk singing sensation and St. Olaf alum Ellis will revisit the Lion’s Lair for an amazing night of music. Last year’s event was incredibly popular, and for good reason — don’t miss it, and come early if you want a good spot...

Thursday, March 6, 11:00–12:30 (Community Time) Buntrock Crossroads PRIDE WEEK CELEBRATION

Join us in the Crossroads for rainbow arches, a drag fashion show, and any number of unexpected but utterly welcome celebrations of what it means to be proud. We are, and you should be, too.

Friday, March 7, 8:00 p.m. The Lion’s Pause ESMÉ RODRIGUEZ: DRAG AND GENDER PERFORMANCE
Drag Queen and doctoral student Esmé Rodriguez (a.k.a. T. Kupin) and company will give a drag performance that pushes the boundaries of drag. Discussion of gender performance and expression will follow.
