A fresh face will soon appear in the limited Northfield bar scene, when Froggy Bottoms, a 70's theme style pub, opens this spring.

It will be catering to the college crowd, but plans on diversifying its customer base by offering a wide variety of food. Froggy Bottoms will be pursuing older crowds by opening the restaurant in the early afternoon rather than being just a nightspot.

Froggy Bottoms has many unique features that will help distinguish itself from the other bars in Northfield. It plans to lure customers by focussing on promotion deals with distributors. Also, as with the Contented Cow, Froggy Bottoms will be a no-smoking facility. It will also draw appeal by focusing on an ever-changing extensive variety of beer and wine.

Looking to provide an education on different alcoholic beverages, Froggy Bottoms will have knowledgeable servers. They also plan on having regular wine and beer tasting events. The tasting events will allow patrons to sample a variety of new and different beverages.

Froggy Bottoms prediction of opening in mid-March has been set back with the addition of a wide variety food line. It now foresees a mid-April opening and hopes to be an exciting addition to the social scene in Northfield.
