. . Figurehead Bush eroding country

George W. Bush, what a joke and disgrace to our country. It would almost be laughable if it werenıt so goddamn depressing. Bushıs first 100 days, although littered with "good" works, such as saving our spies from the reds and recognizing concerns with free trade while in Canada, have been infuriating for the majority of people who neither voted for the republicrats nor their corporate sponsors (62 corporations "donated" at least $100,000 to both campaigns). Bush has appointed a cabinet of ex-corporate CEOs to regulate the very industries where they were once employed (and still are through bribery in the form of campaign contributions and, well, bribery).

Bush, who is really just a figurehead (come on, he canıt even read the teleprompter) for his party and a valuable tool for the corporations that are stealing our democracy, is using his cabinet and the equally corrupted democrats to erode the last remaining foils to an absolutely unhindered capitalist economy. Environmental regulations to protect air and water, legislation to protect remaining unroaded wild land, worker protection laws, movement towards peace and disarmament, and protection of our national autonomy from unhindered free trade have all been targets of the Bush administration in the last 100 days.

These are blatant indicators of the true agenda of this corrupt administration. We the people, the majority of this great democratic nation that either did not cast their vote in the last election or did not cast their vote for the corruption of the Bush/Gore 2000 campaign will not stand idly as our democracy is slowly eroded. We will continue to cast our vote for a true democracy, one where we have a nation by for and of the people, not by for and of the corporations. As George W. himself stated last year, "If youıre sick and tired of the politics of cynicism and polls and principles, come and join this campaign."
