Many discussions have taken place around the student senate table this semester. The SGA leaders and senators have been involved in discussions and changes that have a major impact on the student body.

At the start of the semester, senate brought student concerns about the cafeteria directly to the management of Bon Appetit. In turn, the management was able to bring their concerns about the students' treatment of Bon Appetit staff. Many issues were resolved.

Censorship was another issue to hit the St. Olaf campus. Heated arguments were held about the publication of censorship of The Roast, and this is important because it is an issue that has much broader implications.

One of the major projects taken on by Student Government Association (SGA) this semester was the R.I.C.H. campaign. Striving to focus on the concepts of respect, integrity, celebration, and honesty, and how these concepts are fostered on campus, this is an ongoing campaign and call for tolerance.

More recently, senate has been dealing with the issues concerning the "love bus", specifically which places the bus will be allowed to drop students off on the weekends. Though the administration has said that the bus will no longer go to places where the primary purpose is to serve alcohol, senate is looking into alternative transportation for students, including reduced cab fares back to campus.

Senate has taken feedback from students concerning the new St. Olaf website and relayed information to the designers of the website. Check out the new replacement for the old "On the Hill" page at http://www.stolaf.edu/onestop-it has everything you need to know about what's happening here on the hill.

Look for your student government leaders and senate members on Talk-Back Tuesdays- from 5-7pm on the main level of Buntrock. As always, bring you concerns to your senator or stop by any senate meeting, Thursdays at 6:30. Remember, "decisions are made by those who show up!"
