SAA serves as a liaison between St. Olaf
alumni and current students on the hill by providing educational
and social events to connect Oles to fellow Oles. As an advocacy
group on the Executive Branch of the St. Olaf Student Government
Association (SGA), it facilitates a variety of events throughout
the year in association with the Alumni and Parent Relations
Office, the Center for Experiential Learning, and the Office
of Annual Giving.
Current events include the annual Spring Law
Forum, Etiquette Dinner, and other special events including
mentoring, off-campus company visits, and hosting guest speakers
on-campus. These and many other events empower current Oles
to connect with Alumni to provide support and opportunities
in the world outside of St. Olaf.
Having representation in both Student Senate
and the St. Olaf Alumni Association Board of Directors, SAA
strives to make the St. Olaf student body aware of the thousands
of Ole alumni that play such an influential role and make
up such a large part of our community.
Current Student Alumni Association projects include
presenting the new Online Alumni Directory, developing a “Senior
Challenge” donation project, and working on a life-long
email forwarding system for alums, all in its goal to fulfill
the vision of providing every student with experiential learning
opportunities that relate to and complement the St. Olaf liberal
arts education.
