| A Hall Council is an organization established in each hall that represents the community by:
- Informing residents about activities and issues in the residence halls, on campus, and in the Student Senate;
- Seeking feedback and suggestions from residents to relay to Hall Council and Student Senate;
- Coordinating the planning and implementation of educational, social, cultural and recreational activities within the residence hall;
- Addressing, with the guidance of the Area Coordinator, individual residence hall policies regarding noise control, damage, and other mutual concerns;
- Assisting the Area Coordinator in providing and maintaining hall supplies, including equipment that may be checked out by residents, hall improvements like televisions and microwaves, and supplies needed for hall programming;
- Encouraging resident concern for the quality of life and community development in the residence hall.
Hall Councils consist of the President, Vice-President, Council Recorder, Treasurer, Senator, Floor/Corridor Representatives, and Advisor. Any interested student can and should attend and be active in their Hall Council.
