The St. Olaf Emergency Medical
Technicians provide a volunteer first response service to the
roughly 3000 students of St. Olaf's residential campus in rural
Northfield, MN. All of the active EMTs are registered with both
the Nationally Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians as well
as Minnesota Emergency Medical Services Regulatory Board. The
St. Olaf EMT's are also a member of the National Collegiate EMS
Foundation. The St. Olaf EMT's currently provide two person
call from 7pm to 7am every evening during the academic year,
24-hour call on the weekends, and coverage for special events on
campus. The EMTs work closely with St. Olaf Public Safety to
make our campus a safer place to live.
The St. Olaf EMT's work under medical direction from Queen of
Peace Hospital in New Prague. Medical direction enhances our
ability to serve the St. Olaf Community and ensure that we are
providing the best possible care to the campus community. The
St. Olaf EMT's also work in close conjunction with St. Olaf
Public Safety.
The St. Olaf EMT's would like to give special thanks to SGA,
Dean of Students Greg Kneser, Director of Public Safety Fred
Behr, and our advisor Pamela Hoffmann for their support of
our organization. We would also like to thank Queen of
Peace Hospital for their support and medical direction and
Michael Sanford for instructing an EMT-B class for the St. Olaf
Community. Your support is invaluable to our organization.
