Although not required for participating in any of the SPS events here at St. Olaf, becoming a member of the national SPS is a great deal for anyone interested in physics. Membership is $20 and includes a subscription to Physics Today (worth the $20 in itself), membership to a specific SPS member society, and some other bonuses.
